Terms of service

These terms govern your use of the BestB app and website, operated from Stockholm, Sweden. By creating an account or using BestB you agree to them. If you use BestB for a business, you accept them on its behalf.

What BestB is

BestB records and tracks product expiry dates for a store. It is currently offered as a private pilot and is a work in progress.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email, which is how you sign in. Tell us at hello@bestbtracker.app if you suspect unauthorized use. Use BestB only for a lawful business purpose.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service, access data that is not yours, or upload unlawful content or photos of people. Barcode lookup and date reading are rate limited; do not try to circumvent those limits.

Your content

The inventory, photos, and other data you enter remain yours. You grant BestB the permission needed to host and process that data to run the service, as set out in the privacy policy. New barcodes, product names, and product photos join a shared catalog as that policy explains.

Subscriptions

BestB has a free tier and a paid premium tier. Paid subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; they, not BestB, hold your payment details, and renewals and refunds are managed through your app store account. During the pilot, premium may be provided at no charge, which can change with notice.

Availability and warranty

BestB is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Reading an expiry date from a photo is an aid, not a guarantee; always confirm critical dates yourself. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, BestB is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law.

Termination

You may stop using BestB and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms or threatens the service or its users.

Changes

We may update these terms; if a change is material we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, and disputes belong to the Swedish courts. Questions: hello@bestbtracker.app.
